Each year, thousands of Canadians move from one province or territory to another. Thanks to the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), certified workers are able to practice their occupation in Canada wherever opportunities to do so exist. The agreement requires that all provinces and territories recognize the certification of workers in regulated occupations. This Agreement encourages mobility while respecting the provinces’ and territories’ competencies relating to regulation.
The LMWG was established by the Forum of Labour Market Ministers (FLMM). Labour Mobility Coordinators from all governments that signed the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) participate on the working group.
